Hardware Segment Grows in Brazil and Gains Strategic Showcase at ForMóbile 2026

The hardware and tools supply chain is experiencing a moment of expansion and diversification in Brazil, driven by the advancement of custom carpentry, the modernization of the furniture industry, and the growing demand for solutions that combine performance, ergonomics, and sophistication in projects.

In line with this scenario, the next edition of ForMóbile 2026, taking place from June 30 to July 3 at São Paulo Expo, reinforces its diversity by bringing together major brands of hardware, accessories, and tools focused on furniture production, establishing itself as the main meeting point for business, innovation, and technical updates in the sector in Latin America.

"Today, the furniture industry demands much more than technical performance. There is a growing search for intelligent, versatile solutions aligned with contemporary consumer behavior, which includes personalization, comfort, ergonomics, and productive efficiency. The presence of major brands in the sector at ForMóbile shows precisely how the fair follows the evolution of this market," says Tatiano Segalin, Business Manager of the event.

According to a survey conducted by Sebrae, the retail hardware and tools segment totals, in 2026, more than 78,000 active establishments in the country, with emphasis on states such as São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul, Goiás, and Paraná. The study also reveals a market strongly supported by micro and small businesses, responsible for more than 88% of formal jobs in the sector.

Another indicator that reinforces the heating of the segment is the business creation rate recorded in 2025, at 52.4%, reflecting a market in expansion and constant renewal.

In this context, the main brands with hardware solutions will be present at the fair, presenting solutions focused on functionality, technical precision, industrial productivity, and aesthetic enhancement of environments.

The launches follow a growing demand for more discreet hardware, intelligent opening systems, better use of space, and solutions that contribute both to the user experience and to the productive efficiency of carpentry shops and industries.

The presence of these companies reinforces not only the economic relevance of the segment but also the breadth of niches covered by ForMóbile, which connects from large industries to carpentry shops, architects, specifiers, and independent professionals.

More than a product showcase, ForMóbile 2026 highlights the strategic role of hardware and tools in the furniture supply chain, directly impacting the quality, durability, and differentiation of projects.

By bringing together brands of different specialties and sizes, the fair expands connections between industry, retail, carpentry, and specification, strengthening an increasingly technical, competitive, and innovation-oriented market.

One Month to Go: Check Out Three Reasons Not to Miss the 11th Edition of ForMóbile 2026

Event brings together solutions and innovations that increase productivity, reduce costs, and transform businesses through knowledge, integration, and networking

The countdown has begun for the 11th edition of ForMóbile, Latin America's leading furniture industry fair. The event takes place from June 30 to July 3 at São Paulo Expo and will bring together the biggest names in the industry to present launches, technologies, and trends that impact the entire furniture and wood chain. There will be more than 550 exhibiting brands distributed across an area of 60,000 m², with the expectation of receiving more than 50,000 visitors.

With a 15% expansion in exhibition area at this year's event, high exhibitor renewal, and new solutions for professional audiences, the fair consolidates its strategic role as a meeting point for those who transform projects into furniture and businesses into growth.

According to Tatiano Segallin, Business Manager of ForMóbile, "ForMóbile has become an environment for business generation, professional development, and connection between the different links in the production chain."

Check out three reasons to visit ForMóbile 2026:

1. Strategic Content to Increase Competitiveness

Palco ForMóbile (ForMóbile Stage)

The ForMóbile Stage expands its programming with lectures and panels focused on the real challenges of the sector: efficient management, talent retention, digital transformation, Industry 4.0, and new technologies applied to furniture production and development.

Check out some of the confirmed themes and specialists: • Anderson Rios: Carpentry Management through Artificial Intelligence; • Rita de Cássia (Marcenaria 360): Good People Are Not Lost - How to attract, develop, and retain professionals in carpentry; • Ana Boaventura and Bernardo Costa (Meu Marido Marceneiro): From First Order to National Scale - Strategy, growth, and consolidation of a furniture e-commerce in the Brazilian market;

2. Practical Experience and Live Demonstrations

Espaço Maker (Maker Space)

Curated by Stopa Lab and Lumberjills, the Maker Space expands practical demonstrations and activations focused on maker culture and production processes, bringing theory and real application closer together.

The initiative reinforces ForMóbile's commitment to technical training and experimentation, fundamental for the evolution of carpentry and contemporary design.

According to Leticia Saba from Stopa Lab, "the space is always a highly anticipated attraction at the fair because many professionals who today have large carpentry companies started small, making furniture and other objects with their own hands. The Maker Space is a meeting point, a place to follow the live work of those who really do it and whom we only see on social media. And, of course, also to hear lectures from big names in carpentry."

3. Networking and Access to the Sector's Main Solutions

Espaço Madeira (Wood Space)

In its fourth edition, the Wood Space, held in partnership with Revista Referência Industrial, brings together companies that represent the most advanced technologies, tools, finishes, and solutions for solid wood.

Already confirmed are Arminius, Arte Diamante, Bonardi Compensados, Borroz, CCB Coatings, Fagus-Grecon, IOT, Kanefusa, Plantag, Referência Industrial, and Teak Brazil, strengthening the space as a qualified showcase for innovation and business generation in the segment.

11th ForMóbile Expands Focus on Architects and Bets on Integration with Carpentry to Drive More Efficient Projects

From June 30 to July 3, the fair reinforces technical experience, specialized content, and connection between specification, industry, and execution

Contemporary architecture increasingly demands alignment between concept, execution, and technical feasibility. In a scenario where materials, hardware, finishes, and technologies evolve rapidly, ForMóbile 2026 reinforces its positioning as one of the main meeting points between architecture, interior design, carpentry, and the furniture industry in Latin America.

More than a business fair, this year's edition focuses on practical experience and technical content as tools to help architects and specifiers make more assertive decisions, reducing rework, optimizing costs, and expanding professional repertoire.

"Today's architect needs to specify with technical intelligence, understanding not only aesthetics but also performance, application, and execution. ForMóbile brings these universes together and creates an environment where architecture, industry, and carpentry dialogue in a much more strategic way," says Tatiano Segalin, Business Manager of the fair.

One of the reinforced movements in this edition is the integration between architects and carpenters from the beginning of the project. The so-called "essential duo" takes center stage by encouraging professionals to visit the event accompanied by their partner carpenters, aligning aesthetic concept, productive feasibility, choice of hardware, machinery, and technical solutions capable of ensuring greater efficiency in execution.

The fair's proposal is precisely to reduce the distance between creative conception and executed delivery. Throughout the four days of the event, architects will be able to see, touch, compare, and understand in practice the performance of materials, surfaces, hardware, and technologies that directly impact deadlines, costs, and final quality of projects.

Content and Experiences for Specifiers

In addition to the exhibition area, the ForMóbile Stage will feature programming focused on professional development, bringing together relevant names from architecture, design, and the furniture industry. Among the confirmed highlights are representatives from CASACOR, such as Darlan Firmato, executives from Florense, such as Felipe Luís Corradi, and architect and influencer Tainara Engel.

The programming reinforces the fair's role as a content and trends hub for professionals seeking to keep up with the transformations of contemporary living and technical specification.

Another highlight will be the "No Sofá" project, which will promote daily talks from Tuesday to Thursday about behavior, market, creativity, and trends related to the living universe.

The architects' experience within the fair also gains reinforcement with the Guided Tour by Casoca, a reference platform in architecture and interior design in the country. The initiative will connect visitors to brands, strategic suppliers, and selected launches through specialized curation, facilitating the discovery of solutions, materials, and trends in a more objective and personalized way.

Also part of the programming is the Maker Space, curated by Stopa Lab and featuring influencers Lumberjills, bringing live presentations from content creators and YouTubers from the furniture and carpentry sector. The fair will also feature the Wood Space, held in partnership with Revista Referência Industrial, bringing together exhibitors specialized in solid wood and related products; a strategic segment for professionals linked to design, carpentry, and the furniture industry.

With growing focus on innovation, experience, and integration between industry and specification, ForMóbile 2026 reinforces its role as a strategic platform for those who design, produce, and transform contemporary living.

ForMóbile 2026 brings Milan trends to Brazil with focus on sustainability and sensory design

Consolidating itself as the main link between global innovations and the national market, ForMóbile 2026 presents the guidelines that will guide the furniture sector in the coming years. In 2026, Salone del Mobile Milano 2026 presented its 64th edition, which brought together more than 316,300 visitors from 167 countries, a growth of 4.7% compared to the previous year. With 1,900 exhibiting brands and a predominantly B2B audience (68%), the Italian event reaffirmed the strength of the industry on a global scale.

According to data from ABIMÓVEL – Brazilian Association of Furniture Industries – partner of ForMóbile, Brazil appeared as the 4th country with the largest presence of qualified operators at Salone 2026. This significant participation proves that the Brazilian market not only follows the European circuit but seeks to occupy strategic spaces where reputation and business meet.

Cândida Cervieri, executive director of ABIMÓVEL, a partner entity of ForMóbile, evaluates that Brazilian participation was extremely positive, both from an institutional and strategic point of view. "In Milan we see one of the main references for understanding trends, materials and new strategies. What is presented there directly influences the development of collections and market decisions," she says. She also highlights the competitiveness of the national industry: "Brazilian companies demonstrate quality and alignment with the main global discussions in the sector."

From Milan to ForMóbile 2026

Titled "A Matter of Salone," the fair focused on raw materials as a central point. Attention shifted from the product to the origin, texture and narrative of each piece. This movement now arrives at ForMóbile 2026, which takes place between June 30 and July 3, at São Paulo Expo, adapting the international concept to the needs of Brazilian carpentry and architecture.

In Brazil, these trends are reflected in products that favor the integration of environments and materiality. The ForMóbile audience will see up close how the national industry interprets the use of light woods, weaves and tactile surfaces, transforming furniture into an extension of architecture.

Another crucial point is that sustainability and traceability cease to be differentiators to occupy the center of strategies. "The origin of wood and the circular economy are connected to the perception of value. For Brazil, with our diversity of materials, this represents an important opportunity," explains Cândida.

Technology and Visitor Experience

Unlike European contemplation, ForMóbile delivers practical applicability. Among the highlights of the Brazilian edition are natural fabric combinations, sensory design with organic shapes and integrated technology that combines functionality and innovation. The event will function as a technical update platform, where professionals can access processes that reduce waste and increase productivity.

"ForMóbile has, in Brazil, the function of being the safe harbor for these innovations for the entire production chain. When we see raw materials as a central point in Milan, we reaffirm ForMóbile's commitment to offering an environment where industry and design connect to build a stronger and more sustainable segment," says Tatiano Segalin, Business Manager of the event.

ForMóbile 2026 highlights Industry 4.0 advancement with automation and high-performance solutions for carpentry and furniture industry

The advancement of automation and Industry 4.0 is no longer a trend, but a direct response to the demands for productivity, customization and competitiveness in the furniture chain and should be one of the main highlights at ForMóbile 2026, taking place from June 30 to July 3 at São Paulo Expo.

In a global expansion scenario, the woodworking machinery market moves US$ 4.1 billion in 2026 and is expected to reach US$ 5.82 billion by 2035, with an average annual growth (CAGR) of 3.9%, according to Business Research Insights. This advancement reflects a structural change in the sector, driven by the need to produce with more precision, less waste and greater integration between stages.

"ForMóbile closely follows this transformation and positions itself as an essential platform for the evolution of Brazilian industry. Automation and digitalization are no longer differentiators, but paths to ensure competitiveness, especially in a scenario of pressured margins and demand for customization. The fair connects technology, knowledge and business, supporting from small carpentry shops to large industries in this modernization process," says Tatiano Segalin, Business Manager of the event.

In this context, the adoption of technologies such as CNC, robotics and intelligent systems advances as a response to historical challenges in the sector, such as the shortage of qualified labor, the need for production standardization and the search for energy efficiency. For carpentry shops and industries, this translates into concrete gains: reduction of operational costs, greater production predictability and capacity to meet increasingly customized projects.

Among the exhibitors, the solutions presented reinforce this technological shift. STI Máquinas focuses on the integration between automation and performance, with a consultative approach aimed at process optimization. "Productivity is not just producing more, it's producing better, with intelligence and consistency. Being at ForMóbile is an opportunity to show this live: technology applied to generate real results in the industry's daily operations," comments Julio Catalano, brand owner.

Biesse highlights systems that simulate the operation of a connected factory, focusing on precision and traceability. Among the highlights are edge banding solutions with numerical control and five-axis equipment for more complex operations, integrated with barcode reading systems that allow monitoring of production stages. "Our booth will present technologies developed to increase efficiency and production quality, simulating a small factory with total process control," explains Federico Giunta, Director of Lines for Latin America.

Reinforcing this movement, Giben brings complete automation solutions to the event, with integration between different production stages, such as sectioning, drilling and nesting. "Our goal is to show, in practice, how technology can make production more efficient, scalable and competitive, delivering more results with fewer resources. Participation in the fair is strategic at a time of strong demand for industrial modernization," according to Ari Valarini, brand spokesperson.

By bringing together these solutions and promoting direct contact with new technologies, ForMóbile 2026 reinforces its role as a strategic platform for the modernization of the furniture industry, connecting innovation, productivity and competitiveness throughout the chain.

ForMóbile 2026 highlights fabrics and mattresses as drivers of design, comfort and innovation in the furniture industry

The appreciation of comfort and well-being as central attributes of contemporary living is set to guide the next edition of ForMóbile 2026, taking place from June 30 to July 3 at São Paulo Expo. Driven by changes in consumer behavior, which has begun to prioritize quality of life, sensoriality and experiences in the domestic environment, the textile sector has been gaining strategic prominence in the furniture industry.

According to data from ABIT, there is a consistent movement of innovation and value addition in the segment, with growing focus on functionality, sustainability and performance. Data from ABICOL indicates the expansion of the mattress market, driven by the search for health, ergonomics and sleep quality.

In this scenario, fabrics and solutions for upholstery and mattresses are no longer just technical components and now play a determining role in the perception of product value, influencing aesthetics, thermal comfort and user experience. This movement reinforces the connection between industry, design and consumer behavior, expanding the role of these materials in the production chain. The fair thus broadens its scope by giving visibility to this rising segment, connecting industry, retail and specifiers around a common agenda of innovation and well-being.

"ForMóbile reflects the transformations of the industry and broadens the perspective on segments that today are determining factors in building product value. The advancement of solutions focused on comfort and user experience demonstrates a consistent movement of sector evolution, with direct impact on the competitiveness of Brazilian industry," says Tatiano Segalin, Business Manager of the event.

Among the exhibitors, this direction materializes in portfolios increasingly oriented toward performance and sensory experience. Corttex, for example, presents solutions that combine design, functionality and durability, highlighting the Velure Collection, which translates trends of comfort and sophistication through textures and color palettes aligned with contemporary living. "This is a fundamental space for exchange, connection and value generation. Being present at the fair allows us not only to present our launches, but also to listen to the market, understand its movements and actively contribute to the sector's evolution," says Rose Cervelati, National Sales Manager.

Along the same lines, Conexão Malhas reinforces the strategic role of fabric in the mattress industry, with solutions that integrate technology, comfort and differentiation. Attentive to consumption transformations and connected to international references, the company invests in a model that combines product and service, accompanying the entire customer journey. "We always tell our partners: Conexão Malhas is, first and foremost, a service company that, as a consequence, delivers products. From trend research to after-sales, each stage is conducted with a single purpose: to offer an excellent customer service experience," highlights Luiz Lago, General Director.

J. Serrano expands this perspective by integrating technological innovation and sustainability in its collections. In the upholstery segment, the company invests in fabrics with soft touch and refined aesthetics, focusing on knits with thermal comfort technologies and yarns with cooling properties, directly responding to the demand for well-being. Environmental commitment also gains strength, with cleaner production processes, including dyeing without water use and zero waste policies.

By bringing together these solutions and broadening the focus on comfort, design and well-being, ForMóbile 2026 reinforces its role as a strategic platform to follow the transformations of contemporary living and the furniture industry.

ForMóbile 2026: Surface Technology and Sustainability Drive the New Cycle of MDF in Brazil
Driven by innovations in surfaces, industrial efficiency, and sustainability agendas, the MDF resin panel segment reinforces its centrality in the woodworking and construction industries.

The global MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) panel market is experiencing consistent growth, with a projected compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.81% in the coming years. This expansion is fueled by structural factors: increased residential construction in emerging markets, replacement of native solid woods with controlled and certified panels, and technical performance improvements that expand the material’s applications in high-demand environments.

In the field of surface technology, the sector has advanced in offering high-fidelity melamine coatings and synchronized textures capable of precisely reproducing the design and relief of wood species, stones, and fabrics. This evolution responds to the professional woodworking demand for materials that combine industrial repetition with a qualified sensory experience, reducing variability and increasing project predictability. Simultaneously, there is growing interest in panels with differentiated functional performance, such as moisture resistance and low formaldehyde emissions, a growing requirement from both specifiers and end consumers attentive to environmental and health standards.

Sustainability emerges as a strategic axis for the segment. The use of planted and certified forests as the foundation of the production chain, combined with raw material traceability and the development of low-emission certified lines, repositions MDF in the debate on conscious construction and responsible specification. For woodworking shops and project professionals, this differentiation is beginning to directly influence purchasing decisions and the value proposition to the end customer.

Panels in Focus at ForMóbile 2026
ForMóbile 2026 brings together the sector’s main references, with launches that embody the described trends. Exhibitor presentations reflect the current stage of industrial development of MDF and signal the vectors that will guide the market in the coming years.

The brand also introduces the Sintonia texture, a technology that synchronizes image and relief on both sides of the panel, applied to the patterns Carvalho Angra and Carvalho Costeiro, enhancing sensory realism and technical possibilities of the material.
  • Berneck launches the Legacy Collection, revisiting classic species with a contemporary approach. Highlights include patterns such as Azul Galeno, Cerejeira, Freijó, Mogno Imperial, and Jequitibá Brasil, with tonal variations and designs that meet the demand for more expressive surfaces in high-end woodworking.
  • Duratex presents Flexpanel, a solution developed in partnership with Tabone, composed of flexible panels designed for application on curved surfaces, expanding the technical possibilities of MDF in woodworking. The brand also highlights the Recanto Collection and the Ultra Premium line, aimed at humid environments. The entire portfolio comes from planted and certified forests, with E1 classification for low formaldehyde emissions.

“ForMóbile is the ideal setting to materialize our ‘Partnership that does more for woodworking,’ strengthening the sector’s technical development and presenting solutions that balance high performance, well-being, and sustainability,” says Patrícia Cisternas, Marketing Manager at Duratex.

The Fair as a Technical Platform for the Sector
The advancement of MDF as a high-tech material is one of the pillars of this edition. According to Tatiano Segalin, Show Manager of ForMóbile, the goal is to provide a complete technical experience. “We want visitors to understand the journey of the panel, from the certified forest to the final application in high-end woodworking. ForMóbile 2026 will be the main stage for those seeking to understand the future of furniture in Brazil.”

By bringing together the main players in the MDF panel industry, ForMóbile 2026 consolidates its role as a strategic platform for technical updates and trend analysis in the production chain. The event highlights the advancement of MDF as an increasingly sophisticated material, where surface technology, sustainable sourcing, and industrial precision become central elements to meet the demands of contemporary woodworking and specification.

ForMóbile 2026 Highlights the Advancement of Automation and Industry 4.0 in Furniture Production
From June 30 to July 3, at São Paulo Expo, the fair brings together solutions that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and transform the factory floor.

The pursuit of greater productivity, efficiency, and standardization has accelerated the adoption of automation in the furniture industry, a movement gaining strength in the face of a shortage of skilled labor and the need for competitiveness. In this context, ForMóbile 2026, the International Fair for the Furniture and Wood Industry, showcases an increasingly robust array of solutions in machinery, robotics, and process integration.

The 11th edition of the event will take place from June 30 to July 3, at São Paulo Expo in São Paulo, bringing together manufacturers and suppliers who are investing in technologies capable of transforming the daily operations of woodworking shops and furniture industries—from leaner operations to large-scale production lines. More than 50,000 professional visitors from the sector are expected, reinforcing the fair’s role as the main meeting point for the production chain in Latin America.

Among the highlights, Grupo Roberpack will present solutions focused on packaging automation, with equipment that contributes to process standardization, waste reduction, and operational cost optimization—factors that are increasingly relevant in a scenario of efficiency and sustainability.

Mach CNC will showcase a set of integrated solutions for woodworking shops, focusing on automation and productivity gains. One of the main attractions will be the live demonstration of a nesting cell with a robotic arm for automatic sheet feeding, practically demonstrating how technology can reduce operation time and increase precision in the production process. The company will also present updates to its management software, enhancing control and integration across production stages.

In addition to these solutions, ForMóbile will feature a wide range of machines and equipment geared toward Industry 4.0, including technologies for cutting, machining, and finishing, which enable greater quality control, repeatability, and operational efficiency.

“ForMóbile is the environment where the furniture industry can practically access the technologies that are transforming the sector. Automation is no longer a trend; it has become a necessary path for productivity and competitiveness gains. Our goal is to connect visitors to solutions that directly impact business results,” says Tatiano Segallin, Business Manager of ForMóbile.

More than just a showcase of equipment, the fair establishes itself as a decision-making space for industry professionals, who find in the event the opportunity to compare technologies, meet suppliers, and practically evaluate the most suitable investments for their operations.

Carpenter’s Day: The Knowledge That Builds Excellence and Evolution in the Furniture Industry

Celebrated on March 19, Carpenter’s Day provides an opportunity to recognize the fundamental role of professionals in the production chain of the sector. Responsible for transforming raw materials into solutions that structure homes, offices, and public spaces, carpenters hold a central position in a segment undergoing profound transformations, driven by the growing appreciation for personalized projects and the increasing demand for custom-made furniture.

“ForMóbile was created to acknowledge that innovation, quality, and the future of furniture are shaped by the hands and knowledge of those who work daily in woodworking. Giving visibility to this work also means investing in the evolution of an extremely promising production chain,” says Tatiano Segallin, Business Manager of the leading furniture industry fair in Latin America.

With a focus on professionals at the forefront of production, ForMóbile has expanded initiatives that value carpenters as central agents of transformation. At a time when demand for custom-made furniture and personalized projects is growing, the profession is gaining prominence in creating more functional, unique environments aligned with contemporary lifestyles.

The Brazilian furniture sector also shows positive indicators. According to data from the Brazilian Association of Furniture Industries (ABIMÓVEL), based on studies by IEMI - Market Intelligence, the national furniture and mattress industry recorded a growth of approximately 8.6% in production volume in 2024, reaching around 439.9 million pieces manufactured during the period. More recent data indicates the continuation of this trend: between January and May 2025, the sector’s production advanced 3.8% compared to the same period the previous year. For 2026, market analyses point to gradual growth in the furniture industry, supported by demand for residential furniture, personalized projects, and the modernization of woodworking and industrial production.

In this context of gradual growth and professional transformation, ForMóbile has reinforced its mission to connect industry, technology, and skilled labor. Among the initiatives directly aimed at professionals, the 11th edition of the event promotes the Maker Space, a dedicated environment for practical knowledge exchange, technical demonstrations, lectures, and content led by specialists.

Curated by Letícia Saba from Stopa Lab, the space was designed to bring technology, innovation, and professional practice closer together, featuring activities that cover everything from construction techniques to new tools, materials, and production processes. “Every major company started somewhere. And despite all the technology available, specialized labor is irreplaceable, created by people,” she states.

Letícia also notes that the profession’s profile has undergone significant changes. “In the past, woodworking as an occupation had a generational profile, passed down from father to son and predominantly male. Today, we see a more diverse professional choice that combines manual skills, technology, and new business models, such as the so-called woodworking 4.0.”

The fair also supports initiatives like Empreenda Marcenaria, a program created by Letícia Saba and Paula Dutra that aims to encourage entrepreneurial training in the sector. The proposal is to create a continuous learning environment that integrates technical knowledge, management, and business vision—elements increasingly necessary for the evolution of contemporary woodworking.

By placing carpenters at the center of discussions about innovation, technology, and the market, ForMóbile reinforces its role as a strategic platform for the development of the entire furniture production chain, connecting professionals, industry, and knowledge around a common goal: strengthening a sector that continues to be built daily by the hands of those who transform raw materials into solutions for better living.

ForMóbile 2026 Expands Structure and Strengthens Strategic Content in Its 11th Edition
ForMóbile, the International Fair for the Furniture and Wood Industry, will hold its 11th edition from June 30 to July 3, 2026, at São Paulo Expo, reaffirming its position as the leading business platform in Latin America for woodworkers, architects, designers, and professionals in the furniture industry.

With a 15% expansion in exhibition space this year, high exhibitor renewal rates, and new solutions for professional audiences, the fair consolidates its strategic role as a meeting point for those who transform projects into furniture and businesses into growth.

According to Tatiano Segallin, Business Manager of ForMóbile, “We have never seen such early commercialization. It’s a thermometer of how heated and confident the sector is,” he states. This scenario reinforces the importance of the event as a space for updates, partnerships, and access to the latest market innovations.

ForMóbile Stage
The ForMóbile Stage expands its programming with lectures and panels focused on real challenges in the sector: efficient management, talent retention, digital transformation, Industry 4.0, and new technologies applied to furniture production and development. Check out some of the topics and confirmed experts:

  • Anderson Rios: Managing Woodworking Through Artificial Intelligence
  • Rita de Cássia (Marcenaria 360): Good People Don’t Get Lost - How to Attract, Develop, and Retain Professionals in Woodworking
  • Ana Boaventura and Bernardo Costa (Meu Marido Marceneiro): From the First Order to National Scale - Strategy, Growth, and Consolidation of a Furniture E-commerce in the Brazilian Market

Maker Space
Curated by Stopa Lab and supported by influencers @Lamberjills, the Maker Space enhances practical demonstrations and activations focused on maker culture and production processes, bridging theory and real-world application. This initiative reinforces ForMóbile’s commitment to technical training and experimentation, which are essential for the evolution of woodworking and contemporary design.

According to Leticia Saba from Stopa Lab, “The Maker Space is always a highly anticipated attraction at the fair because many professionals who now own large woodworking companies started small, making furniture and other objects with their own hands. The Maker Space is a meeting point, a place to watch live work from those we only see on social media! And, of course, to hear lectures from big names in woodworking,” she concludes.

Wood Space
In its fourth edition, the Wood Space, held in partnership with Revista Referência Industrial, brings together companies representing the most advanced technologies, tools, finishes, and solutions for solid wood. Confirmed participants include Arminius, Arte Diamante, Bonardi Compensados, Borroz, CCB Coatings, Fagus-Grecon, IOT, Kanefusa, Plantag, Referência Industrial, and Teak Brazil, strengthening the space as a qualified showcase for innovation and business generation in the segment.

ForMóbile 2026 is growing and reinforcing its strategic role in the furniture sector
The 11th edition of ForMóbile (International Trade Fair for the Furniture and Wood Industry), the largest and most important event in the sector in Latin America, will take place from June 30 to July 3, 2026, at the São Paulo Expo. The fair has grown by 10-12% compared to the previous edition, consolidating a cycle of continuous expansion since the post-pandemic period.
The event will bring together leading figures in the furniture industry, providing a strategic meeting point for carpenters, manufacturers, suppliers, retailers, architects, and designers to promote connections, business, and professional development. With national and international coverage, ForMóbile showcases the latest innovations and trends in the market, bringing together exhibitors from all segments of the industry: machinery and equipment, raw materials and inputs, hardware, accessories and components, fabrics, foams, technological solutions, and much more.
The Brazilian furniture industry remains one of the country's most important production sectors. In 2024, the furniture and mattress industry saw an 8.6% increase in production volume compared to 2023, reaching approximately 439.9 million units. The sector's revenue reached more than R$ 91.5 billion, driven by a 10.7% increase in domestic consumption, marking a 12.1% cumulative increase over the previous year. The data comes from the latest edition of Conjuntura de Móveis, a monthly study conducted by IEMI on behalf of ABIMÓVEL based on official research sources.
85% of exhibitors who participated in the 2024 edition returned, and there was strong demand from new companies. "The exceptional results of the 2024 edition drove unprecedented advance sales. Even with less than a year to go before the fair, most of the spaces are already occupied, which demonstrates the market's confidence and the event's strategic importance for the sector," says Tatiano Segalin, ForMóbile's business manager.
The 2026 edition will prioritize quality over quantity, seeking to attract professionals with significant decision-making authority and a genuine interest in learning about new developments, closing deals, and fostering partnerships. In 2024, the fair received more than 52,000 visitors. The expectation for 2026 is to increase this number by about 10%, while maintaining a comfortable and productive experience for all participants.
In addition to the extensive exhibition, the event offers high-level content programming, including the “ForMóbile Stage”, with lectures and panels on trends, design, furniture architecture, modern carpentry, industry 4.0, the economic landscape, advanced manufacturing, and new technologies; the “Maker Space”, with practical demonstrations of techniques and processes by YouTubers and influencers in the sector; and the “Wood Space”, focused on the world of solid wood and its products and services.
The ForMóbile experience continues throughout the year with ForMóbile Digital, an editorial channel with exclusive content that receives over 20,000 visits per month, as well as the "ForMóbile Xperience" platform. This platform connects visitors and exhibiting brands 365 days a year, allowing users to research products, interact with companies, and access exclusive content.
With its consistent growth and highly conducive business environment, ForMóbile reaffirms its position as Latin America's premier furniture industry showcase. The event invites companies and professionals to join its innovative, networking-driven journey.

The power of sustainability in the furniture sector
How the furniture industry has incorporated sustainable practices throughout the entire production chain
Sustainability is no longer just a trend; it is now a strategic pillar of the furniture industry. Companies committed to more responsible practices are rethinking every stage of the production chain, from the conscious use of raw materials to the reuse of waste.
The Brazilian industry has invested in clean technologies, environmental certifications, and strengthening local supply chains. Using reforested wood panels is one of the most widespread practices, and it is becoming even more relevant as consumers value the origin and impact of their purchases.
According to an article published by ForMóbile Digital, sustainability is an urgent issue in the wood panel and furniture sector, particularly with regard to the production and application of MDF and MDP. In response to the environmental impact caused by logging and industrial production, companies of all sizes are mobilizing.
In an interview with the ForMóbile #NoSofá program, architect Thais Amadeu emphasizes that sustainability goes far beyond the reuse of materials. "Today, sustainability has much more to do with time. It's about what we're using, how long it will last, how often we'll need to replace it, and how much waste it will generate", she explained. For her, sustainability means understanding the life cycle of materials and projects while seeking to minimize impact and maximize durability.
She also emphasizes the important roles that architects and designers play in this process. "Designing with sustainably means more than choosing recyclable materials. It also means thinking about where to position a window to ensure natural lighting or choosing a site that doesn't require aggressive environmental intervention", she comments. To her, sustainability means managing materials, time, and people.
Transparency has also become a fundamental pillar. Many organizations already implement monitoring and accountability systems, ensuring compliance with environmental and social standards and consolidating an ethical stance in the face of an increasingly demanding market that pays attention to these issues.
Several of these innovations will be showcased at ForMóbile 2026, the largest furniture and wood industry trade show in Latin America. The event will bring together exhibitors who have been leading sustainable transformations in the sector, as well as a rich program of debates on ESG, environmental certifications, and the green future of carpentry and industry.
For those working in the segment, being attentive to sustainable practices is more than a competitive advantage; it is a necessity to keep up with the demands of an increasingly conscious market. Thinking of design not only as aesthetics, but as a legacy, is the challenge of the new era.

Redesigned offices: the return to in-person work requires more flexible and welcoming spaces
After years of remote work, the return to in-person work is shaking up the corporate market and demanding new architectural and furniture solutions. Vitor Hugo Candal, co-CEO of Minimal Design and participant in the ForMóbile #NoSofá program, says that the return to offices has revealed significant challenges, especially regarding talent retention and productivity in shared environments.
"Now more than ever, large companies require office attendance. The difficulty of developing leadership and the need for collaboration have driven this movement backward," Candal explains.
However, this does not mean going back to the way things were before. Employees accustomed to the comfort and flexibility of working from home no longer accept rigid, personality-less spaces. The solution lies in creating hybrid environments, which does not necessarily mean alternating days between home and the office, but rather how the office is structured internally.
“Today, everywhere is a workplace. A sofa, a booth, or a meeting room can be productive spaces as long as they offer comfort, connectivity, and privacy," says Candal.
The trend is for offices to resemble homes. Organically designed furniture, biophilic design, warm colors, and items such as curtains, rugs, and acoustic panels are becoming more popular. Additionally, functionality has become essential: tables with casters, modular stations, removable cubicles, and furniture with induction chargers are examples of solutions that combine practicality with aesthetics.
For those looking to start the transformation, Vitor Hugo recommends focusing on three key aspects: temperature, lighting, and acoustics. “These are the points most often cited in global workplace satisfaction surveys. Improving them already brings immediate gains in comfort and productivity," he points out.
This adaptation can be done gradually with small investments and reconfiguration of the layout. The priority is to create collaborative spaces with areas for decompression and the freedom to choose where and how to work within the office.
The full episode with Vitor Hugo Candal is available in season five of ForMóbile #NoSofá, a ForMóbile initiative that discusses trends, innovations, and challenges in the furniture industry.

What is sustainable forest management?
ForMóbile, an international trade fair for suppliers to the wood and furniture industry, plays a significant role in promoting this activity.
Sustainable forest management is the practice of managing forests in a balanced way to ensure economic, social, and environmental benefits while respecting the natural processes of ecosystems. This approach utilizes multiple timber and non-timber species, as well as other forest goods and services.
According to data from the National Forest Information System, 58% of Brazil's territory is covered by forests. Therefore, conserving this vast biome is essential for the country's sustainability.
Types of sustainable forest management
Different types of forest management seek to balance the exploitation of natural resources with environmental conservation. Three of them stand out:
  • Native forest management: consists of sustainably exploiting natural resources such as wood, fruits, oils, and resins while ensuring the regeneration of vegetation and maintaining biodiversity. This practice adheres to environmental standards and aims to minimize ecological impact.
  • Planted forest management: involves managing forest plantations of fast-growing species for commercial purposes such as producing wood, paper, and pulp. These forests are cultivated outside permanent preservation areas and legal reserves, but their management must meet environmental requirements.
  • Agroforestry systems (AFS) management: integrates agricultural crops, native trees, and, in some cases, animal husbandry, promoting productive diversification and ecological benefits, such as soil recovery and increased carbon capture.
The role of ForMóbile in promoting sustainability
ForMóbile, the largest furniture and wood industry fair in Latin America, is a benchmark event for professionals and companies committed to furniture manufacturing, as well as the process of sustainable extraction and use of forest resources. During the fair, large companies are presented that, with their technologies, products, and solutions, value the principles of sustainability, such as the use of wood certified by responsible forest management.
A notable example is the participation of Duratex, a company that highlights its environmental certifications, including the Green Seal awarded by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council), demonstrating its commitment to environmental conservation.
Similarly, Placas do Brasil is notable for producing MDF exclusively from eucalyptus wood sourced from 100% sustainable forests. The company partners with regional producers and offers them technical support and financing for eucalyptus cultivation. It also employs advanced environmental practices, such as using thermal energy generated from biomass and reusing rainwater and industrial process water.
Greenplac uses wood from its own 18,000-hectare eucalyptus plantations. This production model ensures the traceability and quality of the raw materials while reducing pressure on native forests and promoting the continuous renewal of the vegetation cover.
Additionally, the fair promotes discussions and disseminates information about effective forest management practices, encouraging the adoption of techniques that ensure responsible forest exploitation. Thus, ForMóbile establishes itself as a vital platform for sharing experiences and innovations, aligning industrial production with environmental responsibility.
